We carefully source premium-quality seeds from trusted growers in New Zealand and around the world. Due to New Zealand's strict import requirements, international freight costs, and biosecurity regulations, these seeds are not commonly available locally. Be among the few growers in New Zealand cultivating this unique variety.

Seed Type: Fresh Noni seeds.

Origin: Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Growth Habit: Fast-growing evergreen tree reaching approximately 3–8 metres at maturity.

Germination: Soak seeds in warm water for 24–48 hours before sowing 10 mm deep in a free-draining seed-raising mix. Keep warm (25–30°C) and consistently moist. Germination typically occurs within 1–3 months.

Climate: To get a head start, or if you are in colder climates, start growing your seeds indoors so they are well established before summer. In the North Island, Noni grows best in warm frost-free areas. In the South Island, it is best suited to a greenhouse or conservatory as it is highly frost sensitive.

Fruit: Produces distinctive creamy-white fruit with soft flesh and a strong aroma once ripe.

Flowers: Produces fragrant white tubular flowers throughout the warmer months.

Fruiting: Typically begins producing fruit within 2–4 years from seed.

Care: Prefers full sun, fertile free-draining soil and consistent moisture. Protect from frost.

Health Benefits

The fruit is naturally rich in:

  • Vitamin C to support the immune system.
  • Potassium which supports heart and muscle function.
  • Antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress.
  • Traditional plant compounds valued throughout the Pacific.
  • Often used in juices and health products.
