Germinated Ice Cream Bean Seed
Start growing one of the fastest-growing tropical fruit trees with a healthy germinated seed. Ice Cream Bean is a vigorous, evergreen tree that produces long pods filled with sweet, fluffy white pulp with a flavour often compared to vanilla ice cream or cotton candy. Our germinated seeds give you a head start, allowing you to skip the germination stage and begin growing immediately.

Origin: Central & South America.
Growth Habit: Fast-growing evergreen tree reaching 8–20 metres at maturity, depending on climate and growing conditions. Suitable for home gardens, food forests and orchards where space allows.
Climate: Thrives in warm temperate, subtropical and tropical climates. Protect young plants from frost. Grows best in a warm, sheltered position with plenty of sunlight.
Planting: Plant the germinated seed immediately into a free-draining potting mix with the root pointing down and the top of the seed just above the soil surface. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged while the seedling establishes.
Fruit: Produces long green pods filled with soft, fluffy white pulp surrounding the seeds. The pulp has a sweet, creamy flavour often compared to vanilla ice cream or cotton candy.
Flowers: Produces masses of fluffy white, brush-like flowers that attract bees and other beneficial pollinators.
Fruiting: Typically begins producing fruit within 3–5 years under good growing conditions.
Care: Prefers full sun, fertile free-draining soil and regular watering. Feed during the growing season to encourage rapid growth and healthy foliage.
