These are a lucky dip:

  • Pink Thai
  • White Thai

Grow a beautiful and productive tropical fruit tree. Guava is a fast-growing evergreen tree prized for its fragrant fruit, attractive foliage and delicious tropical flavour. These healthy seedlings are well established and ready to continue growing once planted into their permanent position.

Plant Age: Approximately 6 months old, grown from seed.

Origin: Central & South America.

Growth Habit: Fast-growing evergreen tree reaching approximately 3–8 metres at maturity. Ideal for home gardens, orchards and large containers while young.

Climate: Thrives in warm temperate, subtropical and tropical climates. Prefers full sun and protection from heavy frosts while young. Well suited to many warmer parts of New Zealand.

Fruit: Seed-grown plants may produce fruit with white, pink, red or yellow flesh depending on the genetics of the individual plant. The fruit is sweet, aromatic and highly versatile, perfect for eating fresh, juices, jams, smoothies and desserts.

Flowers: Produces beautiful white flowers with masses of fluffy stamens that attract bees and other beneficial pollinators.

Care: Prefers full sun, fertile free-draining soil and regular watering while establishing. Feed during the growing season to encourage healthy growth and abundant fruit production.

Health Benefits

The fruit is naturally rich in:

Vitamin C to support the immune system.
Dietary Fibre for healthy digestion.
Vitamin A to support healthy skin and eyesight.
Potassium which supports heart and muscle function.
Antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress.
Naturally sweet, juicy flesh that's delicious eaten fresh or used in smoothies, juices, jams and desserts.

Please note: The price is for one plant. As these plants are grown from seed, fruit colour, flavour and size may vary, with mature trees producing white, pink, red or yellow-fleshed fruit. Many of the species we offer are extremely rare in New Zealand and can be difficult to source. We spend considerable time locating high-quality seeds from trusted growers both within New Zealand and around the world, allowing us to offer unique and hard-to-find species to fellow collectors and gardeners.
